Windle Trust Kenya wishes to recruit officers for the positions described below to serve in Dadaab refugee secondary schools, Garissa, North-Eastern Province of Kenya.

1. Senior Education Officer
(One post)

In charge of Secondary Education programme

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of secondary education activities in Dadaab refugee camps in collaboration with education staff.
• Provide adequate and timely technical guidance, supervision, capacity building and management support to the secondary education staff.
• Promote quality secondary education for refugees.
• Promote community self-management in relation to the running of secondary schools.
• Ensure transparency and accountability in management of all school resources.
• Provide essential physical facilities and instructional materials to schools and give special attention to community secondary schools
Qualifications
• A degree in Education with at least 4 years of proven experience in effective and efficient management of secondary education with high quality outputs.
• Excellent planning, analytical, conceptual and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate staff and students to perform maximally and a good team-player.
• Proven knowledge of Kenya Education systems and rich networks with Key MOE officials.
• Superior writing skills, including proven ability to conceive and write grant proposals and donor reports.
• Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point) required.
• Demonstrated capabilities and strategies to propel secondary schools to top national performance in curricula and co-curricular activities.
• Able and willing to live, work, travel in fast-paced and insecure environment adhering to strict security guidelines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

2. Secondary School Teachers
(Six posts)

Key Responsibilities
• Effective implementation of prescribed secondary education curriculum.
Subject Combinations
• Biology - Chemistry - 3 teachers
• Kiswahili- History - 2 teachers
• English- English Literature -1 teacher
Qualifications
• A degree in Education.
• 3 years experience teaching secondary school.
• Proven performance as a secondary school teacher with outstanding results
• Demonstrated capabilities and strategies to propel secondary schools to top national performance in curricula and co-curricular activities.
• Able and willing to live, work, travel in fast-paced and insecure environment adhering to strict security guidelines.
• Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point) required.
3. Storekeeper
(One post)

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the day to day running of secondary stores in Dadaab refugee camps.
• Maintenance of accurate records of all stock manually and in computerized format.
• Receive and issue stock, checking such stock against procurement documents and delivery notes
Qualification
• A diploma in commerce /IPS with stores and supplies option.
• At least 3 years practical experience in stores management
• Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point) required.
4. Light Vehicle Driver
(One post)

Qualifications
• At least secondary school certificate
• Valid driving license, PSV and at least 5 year driving experience.
• Basic motor vehicle mechanics
• Ability to communicate in English and Swahili.
• Experience in driving in a security risk zone.
